A weekend staring contest with my fiancee and subsequent discussion of the official rules of the game (staring only or staring & no blinking), lead me to the interesting discovery of a movie about the sport of staredown.
The movie is called Unflinching Truth: The Philip Rockhammer Story.
Director J.R. McCord has released, for free, a documentary about Philip Rockhammer and his quest for the 2005 NASP National Championship. NASP, of course, is the National Association of Staredown Professionals. Check out their website for more information on this up and coming sport.
You can watch the entire movie for free on the web.
I’m hoping to explore the possibility of getting this movie to the theater in Peachwater. It seems like a good fit for the locals to see. I’ll post more information if I can make this happen.
