Engaged!

Well, it’s official… Jocelyn and I are engaged!

As many of you know, I have been dating a wonderful and beautiful woman for a bit more than a year now — 16 months to be exact. I feel so richly blessed to know her. I can’t imagine my life without her. I thank God for bringing her into my life.

On Saturday, Jocelyn and I spent the day together in Fredericksburg. Throughout the day, I gave her a series of cards in which I had written a few thoughts about how much I truly love her. I also gave her two books — “Guess How Much I Love You” and “The World According to Mister Rogers”.

After spending a great day together, we ate dinner at a great restaurant at which I had made a reservation. Up to this point, Jocelyn had some hint that bigger things were afoot, but she generally thought that I was just treating her to a really wonderful day.

After dinner, we went for a walk in the MarketPlatz (the town plaza). It was there where I asked Jocelyn to marry me. She, of course, said Yes!

We are planning a wedding for early December.

I am so very excited!
