hi.

hi. yes. i’m still alive and kicking. but very, very busy. thanks for checking.

Apple announcements…

The Macintosh community is abuzz with excitement today. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer, will take the stage at the San Francisco MacWorld Conference and Expo this morning to announce a number of highly anticipated products.

Several rumor sites have weighed in with their predictions. ThinkSecret believes that Jobs will announce Intel-based iBooks, a media-centric Mac Mini, and a slew of new content partnerships. AppleInsider is predicting the announcements will be related to Intel-based iMacs (instead of iBooks).

My prediction is that Apple will announce new products related to computing and other technologies. I know that sounds really general, but I like to cover the bases.

And yes, I will be following the keynote address via the web. It starts in about an hour at 9 a.m. PST.

Crappy Job

On my way into work this morning, I noticed a catchy slogan written across the top of a truck’s tailgate. The advertisement stated “Our business is piling up!”

The company that the slogan belongs to? We Scoop Poop!

Their website also has the wonderful statement of “We’re #1 in the #2 business!” :-) That’s great!

Puts my job in perspective.

Best Blog Winner

Curt brought to my attention that my blog has won an award in MCF’s Year in Review 2K5! Thanks, MCF!

My blog won “BEST blog set in a fictitious Texas town”… of course, I’m not so sure what is meant by fictitious. I always say that just because you’ve never been there doesn’t mean a place is fictitious. If fictitious in this case means the best place EVER then I accept. If it doesn’t, I still accept. I like awards.

Other fictitious towns:

Paris, Texas
Earth, Texas
Oatmeal, Texas
Alberta, Canada
New York, NY
