Jeff Abridged

This has been one of those weeks where there has been much to write about, but very little time to actually write, so I’m going to do the condensed version of what I’ve seen so far this week.

Meeting new and interesting people. Learning new things about them. Church retreat with great music and a great message. Searching for a new rent house in eclectic and funky neighborhoods. Long talks with people I care about. The pope passes away. Watching the bats fly from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge. An aboriginal in soccer shorts playing the didgeridoo at sunset. An incredible deluge of rain. Lightning in the sky behind the Austin skyline. Walking through a grocery store but finding nothing to eat. Fixating on problems with fonts at work. Enjoying life.

Spring Youth Rally

Update: I spent Friday evening and most of Saturday at the Mission Presbytery Spring Youth Rally in San Antonio, Texas. I posted the photo above from my cell phone during Scott Dannemiller’s concert. Great musician with amazing stories of missions work in Guatamala.

And yes, as I mentioned on Friday, I will post an update about the All Fool’s Day Festival in Peachwater, Tx. I spent most of the weekend there as well. That’s one of the great benefits of a fictional town — it is quite possible to be in two places at once.

Gotta Love Smart Drinks

A perfect day for a GoogleGulp.

All Fools Day

I’ll be at the Umpteenth Annual All Fool’s Day Festival in beautiful downtown Peachwater, Tx. for most of the day. I won’t be judging the King of the Fools contest as I did last year, but I expect that I’ll have quite a lot of fun. I hope to see you there!

I’ll be in Peachwater for most of the weekend at the Fool’s Festival. I’ll post an update of my observations later in the weekend.
